Son histoire, racontée par ses enfants encore en vie, nous donne un bel exemple de caractère fort .

Big Ma is a 20 minute documentary on the film maker's grandmother, who died in 1985. Katherine Foley came to the United States from Ireland at the turn of the century with only $15. While she never had much more than that, she managed to raise 9 children after her husband's death by cleaning houses. Her story, told by her surviving children, gives a shinging example of what is really meant by " a strong character".
